Pigging Out with Purpose

With the stress of final papers and exams upon us, we were hungry for a little downtime… actually, we were just hungry. As such, my CMM115 Aviation students and I decided to take our appetites to The Breakfast Pig on a November Saturday night in downtown Sault Ste. Marie.

I asked restaurant owner Angela Caputo if she could hook us up with a special breakfast spread for dinner, and if she would be cool with a portion of our payment going toward a few organizations near and dear to our hearts. The partnership was struck, our bellies were filled (how about those Bennies, though!), and we raised some serious cash – $300 dollars – which will be evenly distributed to Movember and Women in Crisis (Algoma).

Heartfelt thanks to Angela Caputo and The Breakfast Pig staff for making us all feel at home, and to my amazing group of Sault College students. Your support of health initiatives for men and women in the Soo truly “takes my breath away…” (as if I’d finish this post without a Top Gun reference).
