The Dream Girl

I’ve forever been enamored with R.L. Stine’s Fear Street books (along with everything else he’s ever penned), and have always told myself that some day I’d grow up and write a Young Adult horror novel of my own.

Not sure if I’ve successfully navigated the whole “grow up” part of the equation, but at least I’m now able to check the “Young Adult horror author” goal off my list.

Released just in time for Halloween 2020, I proudly present The Dream Girl.

The book’s first printing instantly sold out. There’s no plan to release additional pressings of it, but maybe some day down the road you’ll see that The Dream Girl is once again available for sale.

Until then, I was proud to celebrate the book’s release with the coolest group of Grade 7 and 8 students, and I presented each of them with their own FIRST EDITION copy to enjoy.

I may have saved one for myself, too.

Check out the blurb on the back cover:

A LOVE WORTH DYING FOR…

Joey Mancini isn’t the most popular teen at Rockport High, but he’s outgoing, charming and works hard at the local Bowlerama alongside his younger sister, Ella. One night after work, Joey discovers a girl’s school ring in his locker and decides to try it on. The ring quickly becomes stuck and there’s seemingly no way to remove it. Coincidentally, Joey starts to experience vivid dreams about a mysterious girl who seems desperate to get his attention.

With Ella’s help, Joey does a little investigative work and discovers a morbid and frightening connection between the ring on his finger and the girl of his dreams. As Halloween approaches and the alluring visions of his dream girl become a real and grotesque nightmare, Joey knows that he must act quickly before he’s pulled into the most shocking and horrific date he’s ever been on—a date with death.
